Bud Albright, former Under Secretary of Energy and Head of United States Nuclear Industry Council Joins National AI Association as Senior Advisor on Energy

The National Artificial Intelligence Association (NAIA) announced today the appointment of the Honorable Clarence "Bud" Albright, former Chairman of the Board and Presiden/CEO of the US Nuclear Industry Council (USNIC), as a Senior Advisor for Energy to the new organization. NAIA is the fastest growing AI Industry consortium in America with over 1500 members.


Bud Albright has broad and varied experience in the energy industry.  He is the former Under Secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy. In that role, as the third most senior official at DOE, he provided leadership for energy and environment programs, including: energy research and development; demonstration and deployment; environmental cleanup; legacy management and radioactive waste management, all with a total budget of nearly $15 billion. Albright was appointed by President Bush and was unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate. 


NAIA's new Senior Advisor for Energy also has both legislative and private-sector experience. He served as Staff Director for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce, and as Senior Vice President for Policy and Government Affairs for CenterPoint Energy, and Vice President of Federal Affairs at Reliant Energy.
