Manage and produce NAIA's growing series of policy webinars and virtual convenings. This intern will coordinate speaker logistics, build run-of-show documents, handle platform operations, and help promote events to NAIA's national membership. A great fit for students with an interest in event production, communications, or public policy outreach who thrive in a deadline-driven environment.

This role is ideal for communications or marketing students looking to build a portfolio in policy-forward brand strategy and digital advocacy.

You'll gain practical audio production and communications experience while engaging directly with policymakers, executives, and thought leaders in the AI space.

Dive into the heart of America's AI regulatory landscape. This intern will track federal legislation, analyze executive agency guidance, and support NAIA's policy committee work across Congress and the White House. You'll contribute to position papers, member briefings, and real-time advocacy on some of the most consequential technology policy debates of our time.
Operations
Keep the engine running behind one of Washington's most active AI coalitions. This intern will support day-to-day organizational functions including scheduling, CRM management, document coordination, and project tracking. Ideal for students interested in nonprofit management, government relations infrastructure, or business operations in a fast-paced policy environment.
The Opportunity
The National Artificial Intelligence Association (NAIA) is proud to offer a competitive summer internship program for motivated students eager to gain real-world experience at the intersection of technology, policy, and advocacy. Running from May 18 through August 18, NAIA's 2025 Summer Internship Program places interns at the center of America's most consequential AI conversations — from Capitol Hill briefings and federal agency developments to coalition-building and national media. Interns commit to approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility tailored to each role and your academic schedule. NAIA works directly with universities to meet course credit and experiential learning requirements. While positions are unpaid, the professional development value is exceptional — interns build a meaningful portfolio, forge connections with senior policymakers and industry executives, and may receive special invitations to NAIA events, summits, and Capitol Hill engagements. Whether your passion is policy, communications, operations, or media, there is a place for you on our team.
